First African Conference for Administrators

This 1st African Conference for Administrators of Tennis Activities, to be organised under the initiative of Mister Tarak Cherif, President of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) and in conjunction with African Olympic Academy and Mr Jacques Dupré, President of Tennis Europe, will be held in Hammamet, a Tunisian tourist city situated at 60 Km from the International Airport of Tunis Carthage on 26 & 27 January 2012 at the Iberostar Saphir Palace Hotel (5 Stars).

Its main target will be to cover all subjects concerning the Administration and Management of all tennis activities as well as in a National Organisation: National Tennis Federation or in a Tennis Club.

On that purpose, the CAT is pleased to invite all African National Associations to participate at that 1st Conference by nominating their Permanent Secretaries, General Managers or Administrators in order to take advantage from all presentations that will lead by valorous experts.

The main interventions will concern the following subjects:
  • 1- Roles & Duties of a National Tennis Federation.

  • 2- Roles & Duties of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT).

  • 3- Organisation and Communication within a National Tennis Federation and a Tennis Club and the Basic Finance Management.

  • 4- The Meetings: Preparation and follow up.

  • 5- Management of the Human Resources and work with Volunteers and Medias.

  • 6- Preparation, Organisation and Follow up of Tennis Events.

  • 7- Preparation, Organisation and Follow up of Workshops / Courses for Coaches, Umpires, Officials and Administrators.


And many other subjects concerning the Management of Administrative and Finance Matters of the National Tennis Federations

ALL PRESENTATIONS WILL BE MADE IN FRENCH AND ENGLISH WITH SIMULTANEOUS TRANSLATIONS

Participation to the Conference :

All National Federations wishing to participate at that Conference are invited to complete the attached Form and send it back to the CAT on Thursday 12 January 2012 at the latest.
The organising Committee of the African Conference of Administrators will cover the Accommodation, in full board of a maximum of THREE (03) delegates by National Federation, starting on the dinner of 25 January and taking end on the breakfast of 28 January 2012. All additional persons entered, can be accepted to take part at the Conference when they pay the total amount of 160 $ or 130 €. This amount would cover a part of the expenses fees for accommodation, food and transfer during 3 nights (25, 26 and 27 January 2012) at the Official Hotel.

Travel to Tunisia :

All participants must make their own travel arrangements. The CAT will study the possibility to allow one travel Grant for only one delegate by National Federation coming from countries other than North African region. That Grant cannot exceed in any case the amount of 250 $

Entry Visa to Tunisia :

All participants at the African Conference for Administrators are responsible for obtaining their entry visas to Tunisia if applicable, in advance of their travel from the Tunisian Consulate in their home country. A Visa letter can be sent by the CAT, if necessary in order to facilitate the formalities for getting the Visa.

In the case that there is no Tunisian consular representation in the home country of a participant, the entry Visa to Tunisia can be issued at the arrival to the International Airport of Tunis Carthage if the CAT will received a scanned copy of the Passport and all necessary information concerning the person requesting the Visa at least 20 days prior to the date of travel to Tunisia.

Transportation :

Participants will be welcomed at their arrival to the Airport of Tunis and picked up to the official Hotel if they will send their travel details at least 10 days prior to the date of their arrival to Tunisia. Otherwise they will be obliged to rent a taxi that cost around 35 $.
