Cairo has been officially selected to host the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup Junior Finals and Davis Cup Junior Finals from November 3 to 9 at the Smash Sporting Club. This marks a monumental moment for Egyptian and continental tennis, as it is the very first time these prestigious 16-and-under world team championships will take place in Africa.

As the host country, Egypt automatically qualifies teams for both the boys' and girls' tournaments. Africa will also be represented by Morocco in the Davis Cup Junior Finals and Tunisia in the Billie Jean King Cup Junior Finals. They will join 16 of the world's top national teams—including defending champions the United States—competing in a three-day round-robin group stage followed by a knockout phase to crown the champions.

In an official World Tennis press release, Ismail El Shafei, President of the Egyptian Tennis Federation, expressed his pride in bringing the tournament to the region:

"I would like to express our sincere appreciation to World Tennis for placing its trust in Egypt as the host of the 2026 Davis Cup Juniors Finals and the Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Juniors Finals. This is a great honour for our country and a historic milestone for our continent, as it marks the first time that Africa will host these prestigious world junior team championships."

“The Egyptian Tennis Federation has enjoyed a longstanding and successful partnership with World Tennis in developing and promoting tennis through the organization of numerous international events. Hosting these Finals represents another important chapter in that collaboration and reflects the continued growth of tennis in Egypt and across Africa. »

“Working closely with our hosting partner, Smash Sporting Club, whose world-class facilities and experienced operations team have established an outstanding reputation for delivering international events, we are both fully committed to providing the highest standards of organisation, hospitality, and competition. We look forward to welcoming the world's top 16 and under players and their nations to the pharaohs’ land, Cairo, Egypt – and are confident that, together with World Tennis, we will deliver an exceptional and memorable event that will inspire the next generation of tennis players.”
