Professional Journey in Tennis
With a deep connection to the sport that began as a player at the age of 13, Jean-Claude Talon built his foundational experience in the 1980s as a player, a tennis instructor, and a member of the Paris 5 University tennis team.
Transitioning into sports administration, he began his leadership journey as a Club President in Cotonou, later taking on the pivotal roles of Treasurer and then President of the Regional League in Benin. Demonstrating a strong commitment to the sport's governance, he was elected President of the Benin Tennis Federation (FBT) in 2009. His influence within sports administration continued to expand when he became Vice-President of the Benin National Olympic and Sports Committee in 2013, alongside serving as a founding member of the French-speaking Tennis Association (A2FT).
Elevating his strategic vision to the continental stage, he achieved a historic milestone in October 2023 by becoming the ninth President of Tennis Africa, undertaking the responsibility of leading 54 member nations and shaping the future of the sport across the continent.
