A Level 1 Coaches’ Course was held in Tripoli - Libya from 4 – 12 September 2006. There were 13 participants on the course including 3 ladies coming from different regions in Libya: Tripoli, Benghazi, Zaouia and Sebrata. Over the nine days, candidates learnt about mini-tennis, play tennis, technique, tactics, and mental and physical aspect for coaches working with beginner and intermediate players.

The course was conducted by Khaled Zankouli, a Libyan Level 2 Coach and joined for the candidates’ assessment by Hichem Riani CAT General Manager at the National Tennis Centre in Tripoli which provided the perfect venue considering the traditional learning environment at hand. Many thanks must go to the ITF and to the Libyan Arab Tennis & Squash Federation for the excellent organization of this course, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved
