The ITF/CAT African Junior Championship for 14&U on Clay Courts took place from 11 to 16 September 2024 at Moundir Tennis Academy in Casablanca, Morocco. This African event brought together 45 players from 11 African nations, including Morocco, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Egypt,Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
Morocco, the host nation of the 2024 AJCCC, claimed both singles titles. El Aouni Reda triumphed in the boys' competition, while Douyeb Yasmine took home the girls' singles crown. However, the doubles were dominated by Egypt, securing titles in both the boys' and girls' categories. Genidy Mohamed and Hamdy Yassin claimed the boys' doubles African title while Abdelaziz Kenzy and Ramy Fatima clinched the girls' doubles gold.
In the boys' singles, top seeded El Aouni Reda of Morocco took the title with a 6-3, 6-2 win over second seed Tunisian Leith Bennaceur. Reda, exempt from the first round, cruised through the competition, defeating Ali Hamed Nabil of Cameroon 6-3, 6-2 in the second round, Egypt’s Genidy Mohamed 6-1, 6-0 in the quarterfinals, and Youssef Mourid in the semifinals 6-1, 6-2 to secure his spot in the final.
In the girls' singles, second seed Douyeb Yasmine of Morocco pulled off an impressive 6-2, 7-6 (4) victory over top seeded Egyptian Abdelaziz Kenzy in the final. Yasmine’s journey to the title included a second round win over fellow Moroccan Ouazzani Hassa Zineb 6-1, 6-0, a quarterfinal victory against Egypt’s Elmalt Noor 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, and a semifinal win against Tunisia’s Gamaoun Malek 1-6, 6-2, 6-1.
In the boys' doubles, Egypt’s Genidy Mohamed and Hamdy Yassin defeated Tunisia’s Leith Bennaceur and Ismail Rebai 6-1, 6-1 in the final to secure the title.
In the girls' doubles, Egypt continued its doubles dominance, with Abdelaziz Kenzy and Ramy Fatima overcoming fellow Egyptians Elmalt Noor and Baher Karma 6-2, 6-4 to claim the championship.
