Egypt and Tunisia Crowned African Champions at the AJTC 14&U 2025 in Cairo

The 14th edition of the African Junior Team Championship (AJTC) for 14 & Under Boys and Girls, held in Cairo, Egypt from 5 to 10 May 2025, concluded after five days of competition. Egypt and Tunisia were crowned African champions in the boys’ and girls’ events respectively, with both teams earning qualification for the 2025 ITF World Junior Tennis Finals, scheduled to take place in Prostejov, Czech Republic from 4 to 9 August 2025.

Organized by the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) in collaboration with the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Egyptian Tennis Federation (ETF), this key continental event brought together top 14&U players from seven African nations.

Boys – Final Ranking

  1. Egypt – African Champions; qualified for the World Junior Tennis Finals
  2. Tunisia – Runners-up
  3. Morocco – Third place
  4. South Africa – Fourth place
  5. Algeria – Fifth place
  6. Zimbabwe – Sixth place
  7. Uganda – Seventh place 

Girls – Final Ranking

  1. Tunisia – African Champions; qualified for the World Junior Tennis Finals
  2. South Africa – Runners-up
  3. Morocco – Third place
  4. Egypt – Fourth place
  5. Zimbabwe – Fifth place
