The 2025 edition of the ITF/CAT Eastern African Junior Teams’ Competition for 12 & Under officially began today in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The tournament will run until 3 August 2025 and brings together some of the most promising young talents from the Eastern African region.

Eight nations are participating in the event, with a total of 21 boys and 21 girls accompanied by 13 coaches. This regional qualifying competition serves as a pathway to the 2025 Final Event of the African Junior Teams’ Competition (AJTC) for 12 & Under.

Participating Nations:

Boys’ Teams: Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles, Comoros

Girls’ Teams: Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Seychelles, Ethiopia

The top two boys’ teams and two girls’ teams from this event will earn qualification to the final event of the AJTC 12&U 2025, where they will represent Eastern Africa at the continental level.
