Africa celebrated in Bujumbura (Burundi) the women who inspire and advance sport on our continent, during the Gender Equality Forum organized by ANOCA.

On this occasion, Mrs. Salma Mouelhi, Vice President of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) representing Africa, was recognized for her contribution to the development of sport and the promotion of equal opportunities.

This recognition adds to the “Service to the Game” award recently presented to her by the ITF during its Annual General Meeting, illustrating the importance of the role played by African women in the global governance of tennis.

The Confederation of African Tennis, through its President Jean-Claude Talon, congratulates Mrs. Salma Mouelhi for this distinction and is delighted to see Africa honored through its representatives committed to promoting sport and gender equality.
