It is with profound sadness that the Confederation of African Tennis learned of the passing of Mouhamed Abdi Said, known as Dah Abdi, a founding member of the Mauritanian Tennis Federation.

An emblematic figure of Mauritanian tennis, he was much more than a leader; he was a true builder, a passionate educator, and a man deeply devoted to the service of sport and youth. Rightfully considered the true father of Mauritanian tennis, he dedicated a large part of his life to the development of tennis in his country.

We respectfully salute his commitment and his precious contribution to the development of tennis in Mauritania. His memory will remain forever engraved in our minds.

The CAT extends its sincere condolences to his family, his loved ones, and the entire Mauritanian tennis family. May God, the Most Merciful, grant him His forgiveness, welcome him into His vast Paradise, and bring comfort to his grieving family.
