The WT/CAT African Junior Championships 16&U 2026 came to a successful conclusion in Polokwane, South Africa, following four days of exciting individual competition.

The championships, which followed the World Tennis Africa Junior Davis Cup & Billie Jean King Cup Juniors Qualifying, brought together the continent's best junior players to compete for the prestigious African titles in singles and doubles.

Morocco enjoyed an outstanding tournament, capturing the boys' singles and doubles titles. Reda El Aouni was crowned African Champion after defeating fellow Moroccan Samy Iraqi in an all-Moroccan final. Egypt's Youssef Mourid completed the podium with a third-place finish.

In the girls' singles event, Morocco celebrated another continental title as Yasmine Douyeb claimed the African crown. Tunisia's Sarah Boussaffir finished runner-up, while her compatriot Selima Bendhia secured third place.

The boys' doubles title also went to Morocco, with Reda El Aouni and Samy Iraqi combining to lift the trophy. They defeated the pair of Mehdi Laabi (Morocco) and Younis Mohamed Hussien Moawad (Egypt) in the final.

In the girls' doubles event, Tunisia emerged victorious through Selima Bendhia and Sarah Boussaffir, who defeated South Africa's Lyndsey Philipps and Megan Van Vuuren to become African Champions.
