The ITF/CAT Southern African Teams' Competition 12 and Under 2024 took place in Maputo, Mozambique, from August 6 to August 10, hosted by the Federação Moçambicana de Ténis. This event brought together nine nations, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe.

The boys' competition saw nine teams divided into three groups, with South Africa and Zimbabwe earning their places in the 12&U final event.

In Group A, South Africa topped the group with two victories, defeating Mozambique and Madagascar. Mozambique secured second place with one win over Madagascar, who finished third without a win.

Zimbabwe led the group B, winning against Botswana and Malawi. Botswana finished second with a victory over Malawi, who ended the group stage without a win.

In Group C, Eswatini dominated the group with two wins over Lesotho and Namibia. Lesotho secured second place by defeating Namibia, who finished third without a win.

 

In the semifinals, South Africa convincingly defeated Lesotho 3-0, while Zimbabwe edged out Eswatini with a 2-1 victory. The final saw South Africa prevail over Zimbabwe with a decisive 2-0 win.

The girls' competition featured seven teams, with South Africa and Madagascar earning their spots in the 12&U final event.  

South Africa topped the group A with two victories, defeating Madagascar and Lesotho. Madagascar finished second with a win over Lesotho, who ended the group stage without a win.

Zimbabwe led the group B with three victories, overcoming Botswana, Malawi, and Mozambique. Botswana secured second place with wins over Malawi and Mozambique, who finished third and fourth, respectively.

In the semifinals, South Africa defeated Botswana 3-0, while Madagascar triumphed over Zimbabwe with a 2-1 victory. South Africa then emerged victorious with a 2-0 win over Madagascar in the final.
