The ITF/CAT 12 & Under East Africa Team Competition 2024 took place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from the 13th to the 17th of August, hosted by Tennis Tanzania with four nations participating: Tanzania, Burundi, Kenya, and Uganda. In the girls’ competition, the four teams competed in a single pool. Kenya and Burundi emerged as the top teams, securing their spots in the final event of the 12 & Under 2024 Championship. 

Kenya dominated the pool, finishing first with three victories, all with a score of 3-0, against Burundi, Uganda, and Tanzania. 

Burundi came in second place with two victories, defeating Tanzania 3-0 and Uganda 2-1. 

Uganda came in third place with a victory over Tanzania 3-0 who finished fourth of the group. 

In the boys’ competition, the teams also competed in a single pool. Burundi and Kenya secured qualification to the 12 & Under final events. 

Burundi finished first, achieving three victories: 2-1 against Uganda and 3-0 against both Kenya and Tanzania. 

Kenya finished second with two victories, defeating Uganda 2-1 and Tanzania 3-0. 

Uganda secured third place in the group with a 3-0 victory over Tanzania, which finished fourth.
