The Tunisian Tennis Federation (FTT) hosted the ITF/CAT African Junior Championship (14&U) on Hard Courts (AJCHC) from 22 to 27 September 2025 in Monastir. Organized under the aegis of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) and with the support of the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the event was one of the most important competitions on the African junior calendar.
This second continental championship of the year for players aged 14 & Under featured a high level of participation and excellent organization. A total of 27 girls and 27 boys, accompanied by 14 coaches and representing 9 countries, competed for the African titles.

The Closing and Trophy Ceremony celebrated not only the winners but also the dedication of athletes, coaches, and organizers. The event was honored by distinguished personalities, including Mr. Issa Moussa, Governor of Monastir; the Secretary General of the Confederation of African Tennis, Mr. Hichem Riani; the ITF Technical Director; Mr. Dermot Sweeney, Mr. Mohamed El Hedi Sakka, Regional Delegate for Youth and Sports; Mr. Lotfi Chelly, President of the interim board of the Tunisian Tennis Federation along with the interim board members, presidents of Tunisian tennis clubs; and fans of African tennis.
The ceremony was also graced by a special guest, Ons Jabeur, Minister of Happiness and a true inspiration to young African players. Her presence at the 14U Championships, an event she once competed in at the beginning of her journey, was a powerful motivation for the next generation, reminding every player that with hard work and passion, dreams can come true.
The Confederation of African Tennis warmly thanks the Tunisian Tennis Federation and Tennis Club de Monastir for their professionalism in hosting this major African event. The CAT also congratulates all participants, with special recognition for the new African champions crowned in Monastir.
