ITF/CAT African Closed Junior 18 & Under Championships 2020 - Grade B2 From 10 to 16 February 2020

 

From 10th – 14th February 2020: Individual Competition

On 15th & 16th February 2020: Teams’ Competition

  

The ITF/CAT African Junior 18 & under Closed Championships 2020 will take place in Benoni – South Africa from 10th to 16th February 2020. There will be an Individual Competition from the 10th to 14th February, followed by a Teams’ Competition on 15th & 16th February 2020.

The official arrival date is on the 9th February 2020 for all participants. The departure date is on 15th February 2020 for those participating only in the Individual Competition. For those playing the Teams’ Competition, the official departure date is on 17th February 2020. 


· The Team’s competition (for each gender) is reserved for the only nations who are participating at the individual AJC with a minimum of 2 players.

-        Parental Consent Affidavit to be completed and signed for each player under 18 years old traveling to South Africa (see attached Fact sheet)

Travel Grant:

The ITF/CAT will allocate a lump sum travel grant for the players entered by your National Federation and accepted to participate in the African Junior Championships in order to cover a part of the travelling cost. This amount will be announced subsequently, immediately after the entry deadline, by Mid-January 2020.

Travel and Visas for South Africa:

We would ask you to read the attached information sheet carefully, paying particular attention to the sections regarding travel and visa arrangements.

 

Important information:

It is important to mention that South Africa will host 1 ITF Junior Tournament of Grade 3 during the week preceding the African 18 & U Championship and an ITF Junior Tournament of Grade 5 during the week following this Championship. That scheduling was planned in order to offer opportunities to African players to take part in a series of ITF Junior Tournaments in the same country.

It is finally important to note that for those African players who will participate at the Grade 3 ITF Tournament that will precede the AJC and who are accepted to participate in the AJC will be transferred by Bus from Pretoria to Benoni in the afternoon of Sunday 9 February 2020.
