CAT RELEASE N°3, FROM 14th APRIL 2020

Information and measures taken by CAT

14th April 2020

 

 

The Confederation of African Tennis which continues to assess the evolution of the pandemic in conjunction, mainly with the ITF while following the recommendations of International SOS and the advice of experts in the field to ensure the health and safety of all people involved in our events decided to:

 

1-    Postpone the CAT Annual General Meeting (AGM) originally scheduled in Tunis on 19 & 20 June 19 2020 to a later date.

·         The new date will be announced in June 2020 after consultation with all concerned parties.

·         The CAT AGM will probably take place during the last quarter of 2020 (October - November 2020)

·         As soon as the new date of the CAT AGM is fixed, new correspondence and documents will be sent to the National Federations. Consequently, all information and deadlines already sent in February 2020 will be canceled and replaced by others.

 

2-   Postpone all competitions and events organized under the aegis of the CAT and the ITF planned in Africa to future dates.

·         For the moment no competition will take place before 13th July 2020.

 

On the other hand, the CAT informs all its affiliate Members that each member of the CAT permanent Staff continues to work from home 5 days a week and according to the same hours (07:45 GMT - 16:15 GMT) with full access to all files, emails, cell phones and online meetings. This measure will continue to be applied and will be partially or totally lifted depending on the decisions to be taken accordially by the Tunisian government authorities on this matter.
