During his last visit to Algeria, Mr. Tarak Cherif, President of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) met on Wednesday, 9th March 2022 Mr. Mohamed Sofiane Yousfi, President of the Algerian Tennis Federation (FAT) in his office. Several topics were discussed during this meeting including, in particular, the return of tennis activities after COVID-19, the development of tennis in Algeria and in the North African region as well as the predisposition of the CAT to bring the necessary support for the Algerian Tennis Federation in terms of training and development of executives: referee & officials, coaches and administrators.
Still within the framework of his visit to Algiers, Mr. Tarak Cherif, President of the CAT paid a courtesy visit on Tuesday 8th March 2022 to the Algerian National Olympic Committee (ANOC) Headquarters where he was welcomed by Mr. Abderrahmane Hammad, President of the ANOC. Mr. Chérif was accompanied by Mr. Mohamed Bessaad, CAT Vice President & General Treasurer of the ANOC. The main subject that was discussed during this meeting concerns in particular the final preparations to host the next Mediterranean Games in Oran which will take place in the summer of 2022.
