The Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) received the sad news of the passing away on Friday 10th June 2022 of Mr. Mohamed Ammari, Former Vice President and Secretary General of the Algerian Tennis Federation for many years.
Mr Mohamed Ammari has received the CAT Award 2020 for services to the game of tennis following his long and loyal services to tennis for more than 40 years, he has held the positions of Vice President and Secretary General of the Algerian Tennis Federation with half a dozen Presidents from the 1970s to 2021. He has attended dozens of ITF and CAT AGMs. He was the President of the Algerian delegation to most of the African Championships which took place in Côte d’Ivoire and Senegal in the 80s and 90s. In this painful circumstance, Mr. Tarak Cherif, President of the Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) as well as all Members of the CAT Executive Committee and Staff present to the large family of the Algerian Tennis & to Mohamed Ammari’s family their Sincere Condolences.
