At the invitation of Mr. Theoneste Karenzi, President of Rwanda Tennis Federation which is organizing its 1st ATP Challenger 50, CAT President Mr. Jean-Claude Talon, made a visit to Kigali – Rwanda from 29 February to 4 March. 

Upon his arrival at Kigali International Airport on Thursday 29 February, Mr. Talon was welcomed by Mr. Karenzi alongside with Yannick Noah 1983 Roland Garros winner. CAT President headed then to the Kigali Ecology Club where he met the players and attended quarter final matches before visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial on Friday to pay respect to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

On Saturday, President Talon attended the Challenger's final that was graced by the presence of His Excellency Paul Kagame President of Rwanda Republic and Mrs. Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju Minister of sports.

As part of the visit, Mr. Jean-Claude Talon held a constructive meeting on Monday 4th March with Mrs. Aurore Mimosa Munyangaju, Minister of sports. 

Both parties discussed ways to explore collaboration opportunities for tennis development in Africa.
