The Billie Jean King Cup 2024 Africa IV, held from June 10-15 at the Ecology Club Kigali in Kigali, Rwanda, concluded with Algeria earning promotion to Africa Group III after an exceptional performance throughout the tournament.

The competition featured a format with two pools of five teams, followed by positional play-offs to determine the final standings.

In Pool A, Togo emerged as the dominant team, winning all four of their matches to secure the pole position. Cameroon followed closely, finishing second with three wins. Rwanda managed two victories to claim third place, while Ethiopia won one match to finish fourth. Lesotho ended the pool stage without a win, finishing in fifth place.

Pool B saw Algeria showcase their strength by winning all four of their matches, topping the group. Tanzania secured the second spot with three wins, and Mozambique finished third with two victories. The Democratic Republic of Congo managed one win to take fourth place, while Angola finished fifth without a win.

The promotional play-off between the top teams from each pool was a highlight of the tournament. Algeria faced off against Togo and delivered a dominant performance, winning 3-0 to secure their promotion to Africa Group III.
