Davis Cup 2024 Africa Group IV: Senegal and Algeria clinch promotion

Senegal and Algeria have been promoted to the Davis Cup Africa Group III for 2025 following their strong performances in the Davis Cup 2024 Africa Group IV event.

The competition took place from 19 to 22 June 2024 at the Academia de Tennis Kikuxi Villas Club in Luanda, Angola. The tournament featured eight teams divided into two groups of four.

In Pool A, Senegal emerged victorious with three wins. They defeated Cameroon 2-1 on 19 June, Angola 2-1 on 20 June, and secured first place by beating Algeria 3-0 on 21 June.

Algeria secured second place with two wins, overcoming Cameroon and Angola both by a score of 3-0. Angola managed to win against Cameroon with a 2-1 score, while Cameroon did not secure any victories.

In Pool B, Burundi topped the group with three wins. They defeated Rwanda 3-0 on 19 June, Kenya 2-1 on 20 June, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo 2-1 on 21 June. The Democratic Republic of the Congo finished second with two victories, winning 2-1 against both Kenya and Rwanda. Kenya secured one victory, defeating Rwanda 3-0, while Rwanda did not win any matches.

The promotional playoffs on 22 June 2024 saw Senegal triumph over the Democratic Republic of the Congo with a 2-0 victory, and Algeria win against Burundi with a 2-1 score, earning both teams promotion to Africa Group III.

In the relegation playoffs, Angola defeated Rwanda 2-1, and Kenya overcame Cameroon with a 2-1 victory, determining the final standings of the tournament.​ Consequently, Cameroon and Rwanda have been relegated to the Davis Cup Africa group V in 2025.
